Priorities

Martha Bueno Campaign Platform

"Less is More"

My platform comes from a less is more approach – less government equals more freedom. The choice is always yours.

Transportation

South Dade is ground zero for Miami-Dade’s transportation crisis. Endless construction has turned the turnpike into a rush hour parking lot and smartphone apps like Waze have turned quiet residential streets into thoroughfares for drivers in need of a short cut. This isn’t simply an inconvenience; it threatens the safety of our children and hurts our local economy.

I will continue the fight for meaningful transit solutions by bringing forward all solutions that help ease traffic.

2nd Amendment

Politicians on both sides of the aisle continue to infringe on American citizens’ rights to own firearms.

I will defend the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment is ingrained in the fabric of our country and I support the right of the people to keep and bear arms, with no exceptions.

cryptocurrency

Crypto allows everyday Americans to hedge against inflation and break away from depending on the American dollar which has lost 85% of its value since being taken of the gold standard in 1971. I will continue to support the crypto market by preventing government intervention and allowing healthy competition. To show my support for the crypto market, I am accepting both Monero and BitCoin donations.

Property taxes

Property taxes have continued to increase over the years with nothing to show for it. I will fight to lower property taxes in an effort to make housing more affordable in District 10.

Miami-Dade County has an incredibly convoluted way of determining property tax rates for each home. I will fight to simplify this with the intention of lowering Miami-Dade residents property taxes.

School Choice

Education is best provided by the free market, achieving greater quality, accountability, and efficiency with more diversity of choice. Recognizing that the education of children is a parental responsibility, I would restore authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from government. Parents should have control of and responsibility for all funds expended for their children’s education.

Housing

Increased bureaucracy has led to a housing crisis in Miami-Dade County. Finding affordable housing options in the county has become more and more difficult due to increased regulations and limiting homeowners use of their property. I will fight to reduce burdensome regulations to give homeowners more freedom with their private property.

Crime

Government force must be limited to the protection of the rights of individuals to life, liberty, and property, and governments must never be permitted to violate these rights. Laws should be limited in their application to violations of the rights of others through force or fraud, or to deliberate actions that place others involuntarily at significant risk of harm.

I support the decriminalization of cannabis and support the immediate release of all prisoners locked up for low level drug crimes.
